Server Rack (Back)
Another benefit
of having a server rack, is cable
management. At times, server cables
that are not protected can become
twisted, frayed, tangled, messy, and
not managed properly. A server rack
can help properly manage all of the
related server cables. In this way,
your investment is protected and
ease the trouble shooting process if
problems arise.
In the above
picture, the back side of a server
rack is open. This allows us to see
the back side of two Compaq/HP DL380
servers. Although it is difficult
to see, there is a metal cable
management arm attached to each
server. This arm acts as a cable
management device for all of the
attached server cables. This way
the keyboard, video, mouse, network,
SCSI, and power cables are neatly
connected to the server.
